The ENCM website of the Environmental Conservation & Management, undergraduates of University of Kelaniya initiated the intention of promoting the degree programme with social and environmental awareness.
The launch of this website is an effort to raise the curtain and set the stage for the next generation to carry out the success story of the conservation of environment as well as aware the people, what has done by our society so far for the conservation.
The world is a complex integrated system in which man is one among many players in that system & all players should respect each other's rights to survive. This world belongs to present & generations to be born & we must protect it the way a mother looks after her only child.

BSc in Environmental Conservation & Management
The quality of life in tomorrow's world hinges on our ability to resolve some environmental issues. The University of Kelaniya is the pioneer to introduce the first ever Bachelors degree programme for conservation & management of the environment. You would be a partner to make a better world by pursuing this degree programme as its is field for the future.
This degree provides students with the scientofic principles, concepts, and mothodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them.
This would ultimately produce a genuine garduate with dynamic personality, knowledge, skills and team spirit who is a great asset & highly demanded by the global business environment.
